Tournament - The Hand of Darkness « Thread Started on Jul 20, 2008, 6:16pm »
A letter arives in your hand, the note bearing a single small gemstone.
Quote:
Ahh, I see you have found this letter. You are chosen to compete in my little tournament. You see I am one of the Nephillim, a Son of a Fallen Angel. You have been selected from all those in the greater Multi-Verse, to fight in a little spectacle I have set up.
The Gemstone is your entry fee of sorts. It proves you have read the letter, and understand that this tournament has very few limitations. If you believe you can survive the fighting, you can particiapate. The Prize is a simple one. Glory, as well as the Spear Longinus, that which struck down the son of Joseph.
Come, you soldiers, you brawlers, you swordsman and gunfighter all. Come into my homeland, my dark Zeal, and slay one another for this prize, Longinus.
A bit like DOA! Here come Ayrea! « Reply #1 on Jul 22, 2008, 3:35pm »
Her eyes were closed as she listed to her tutor go on and on about her French lesson. “Mademoiselle Rice?” The French woman questioned as she walked to her student’s desk. The woman yawned and looked at the woman. She really didn’t care to be honest. Her eyes closed once more.
BAM!
That jarred her awake as she looked at the woman that dropped the book on her desk. “Now mademoiselle, do you have any more tantrums about sleeping? Or shall I continue with the lesson?” The woman’s sharp French accent hit the woman’s ears. She sighed and looked up at her tutor. “Actually Madame…I’m a little bored.” She smirked as she spoke. She loved being a smart ass. The woman stood from her desk and walked out. The kingdom of Ixemie was her home after all. Smiling the sun shone down on her pale skin. It was amazing for a woman that spent so much time in the sun would still be as pale as a ghost. Her eyes were a blue color and her hair was a golden blond. The woman was beautiful to say in few words.
“ AYREA LOKI RICE, GET IN HERE NOW!” The French woman yelled.
By the time the words hit Ayrea’s ears she was already mounted on her horse and riding to the edge of the kingdom. The stallion was running as fast as he could. Her small weight was nothing for the stallion to bear. Smiling she got low on the horse letting her head rest on its mane. She laughed as it sprang over a brook and landed perfectly. Locke knew how the young woman rode and where to. Soon he reared up and she dismounted the beast. Petting its snout she nodded and he turned running the other way.
“Princess Ayrea…I didn’t think you were coming…”
She smiled and looked at the young boy with dark hair. She was happy and wrapped her arms about his neck kissing him. It was a crime in this land for a noble to be seen with a peasant. She didn’t care, Ayrea loved this boy. “Shh…Nicolai, I think I might have been followed…” She spoke pressing a finger to his lips.
“This way..” He spoke taking her hand and leading her into a more dense area in the woods.
She smiled following him. They planned on running away and marrying. Though she knew that it wasn’t possible. Nicolai still leading the way closed his eyes pulling Ayrea into a hug. This would be the last time they saw each other, though neither knew.
“Ayrea Loki Rice…I love….”
His body jerked forwards and he was coughing up blood. An arrow sank into his chest. From where they couldn’t tell. The princess caught him and lowered his wounded body to the ground. Tears started to form in her eyes. “Nicolai!” She shrieked and started to cry.
“My beautiful Ayrea don’t cry..” His voice was barely a whisper now. “ I love you, and I will watch over you…forever….”
His body stopped moving, he ceased to breath and his heart stopped. It seemed like it happened instantly to her as she clutched the dead boy in her arms. She pulled him to her chest crying. “Nicolai….” She sobbed and closed her eyes. “I love you….” She finally spoke and placed the body onto the ground. Her blue eyes were glowing a golden color, it seemed to radiate around her body as she stood there. Her blond hair fading to what seemed like a crimson color and her skin turned an icy blue color. She wasn’t the normal child.
Her staff, a beautiful metal rod with a topaz ball on the end in a golden cage appeared in her hand. She sighed softly, depression starting to set in. Soon a Topaz fell to her feet and she lifted it from the ground. A note was attached and the female glanced it over.
“Ahh, I see you have found this letter. You are chosen to compete in my little tournament. You see I am one of the Nephillim, a Son of a Fallen Angel. You have been selected from all those in the greater Multi-Verse, to fight in a little spectacle I have set up.

Peter Selferas Shadowwing”
A tournament? She questioned herself. The body of her lover laying cold on the ground. She bit her lip. “I will go and defend your honor and bring your murder to justice!” She vowed and closed her eyes. The staff twirled in her hands as a giant white dragon appeared. He bowed to the woman.
“Princess how may I be of service to you?”
“Take me to Zeal.”
“As you wish…climb on my back and hold on tight.”
She did as the elder dragon asked and closed her eyes. I shall not let your death be in vain Nicolai. They arrived on a flat plane a few hours later and the princess looked towards Sybil.
“Thank you my friend.”
“Call on me when you need to princess…We are here to aid you.”
With a nod she glances around. Grass lined the area and she smirked, this would be an easy turf to fight on. “Peter Selferas Shadowwing! Show your face so I can slay you for killing my Nicolai!”

There was a deep, breathy chuckle, as a deep male vpice was heard. The speaker was over three hundred feet away. It was an alternate reality they stood on, and soon, she saw the black robed figure was standing less than ten feet from her. His hand raised up, his sleeve falling back, revealing a Leather glove, as black as the void, like all his clothing. "I did not slay your lover. It was obviously one of the Ranger's delivering my letters, in accordance to your lands law. If you choose to fight me, I will make your death as quick and painless as I can."
The man shedd the robe, which fell away to reveal beautiful navy armour, ridged and fluted. It was suddenly a swirl of colour as red and purple mixed in, and a single crest appeared on the mans chest, of a black heart, outlined in red, with an X through it and a few other markings. His hands suddenly had two large keys within them, one black with blue gems ornamenting, and another with a red guard, and a black blade.
This man was a Heartless. And by the looks of it, a Heartless Knight. "I am Peter Shadowwing, The Heartless Commander." He smiled, his pale face so shockingly perfect it looked carved from Ice. His eyes were a Red, that looked like crimson rubies. He had silver hair that was messy, and stretched to the mid point of his neck in sheer chaos. The Sunless plane of Zeal had a weak moon, as dim as this mans soul, above it, hiden by clouds.
"I will be glad to accomadate you in my home, if you wish to instead fight in the tournament. I am sure I have something within my home, instead of Longinus, that will revive your Lover. I know the feeling of loss." He smiled, and his weapons vanished.

"Selferas!" A wave of light heralded the arrival of a beautiful young woman. Her long, ivory white hair fell in a cascade down her back, and her silver eyes could pierce the soul. "My name is Aurora Sol, crown princess of the Isle of Mists. And in the name of my royal parents, I have come to join your tournament, and reclaim the Spear of Destiny!"

Selferas snapped his fingers and black tendrils of Darkness shrouded over him, hiding his eyes from the light. "Honestly, what is it with you Avalonians and your infernal light shows?" He waved a hand towards Aurora, the Black Blindfold covering his eyes glowing slightly. "Enjoy." He faded into Darkness, as a Wave of Neo-Shadows appeared, and attacked. Razor Claws at the forefront.

Aurora sighed, rolled her eyes, and began to kill off the Heartless. "Typical... distracts me with small fry so he can plan. You there! Human! Mind helping me with these?"

The Heartless seemed to be fucusing on Aurora, they're dislike for her stemming from them thinking she is Kairi, who Selferas hates just as much as the Princess. As they close in, there is a sudden pause in the atacks, as the sound of a sword being drawn is heard.
[Play - Marvel vs Capcom - Strider Hiryu]
Ten of the heartless were sliced clean through, as the Man wearing a black robe skipped across a nearby pond, and used Iaijutsu on them. His sword glowed, and suddenly he leapt into the air, and Sixteen more werecut into ribbons. He sheathed his sword, the remaining Heartless wary of attacking three well armed soldiers, and Aurora got the chance to see the mans Silver eyes, and his long black hair in the style of a Samurai's ponytail.

Sheathing his sword, he inhaled deeply, and began to move his hands slowly, drawing in the air around him, and with quick hand and foot movements, there were blasts of fire killing the heartless, and with the last one, a whip of flame caught the Neo-Shadow, and caused it to dissipate. He then opened his hands, and exhaled.

Aurora was slightly stunned for a moment, then smiled and bowed to the man. "Well then... I'm Aurora Sol, of the royal house of Avalon. Pleased to meet you. And you are...?" She tilted her head to the side in curiousity.

The Black robed man, a calm serene look on his face, ran a hand through his hair, and shrugged. "Soshi." He turned, and began to walk towards Peter's tower. "Peter personally invited me here."

**Come on, Sorrow, you gotta post.**
Aurora nodded. "I see. I only hope that our mutual desire to reach the top of this tournament does not create too much hostility between us." She bowed formally, then began to explore the area. "So, this is Zeal... It's exactly like my brother in-law told me it would be, heh."

Suddenly, Aurora can sense an odd bolt of lighting traveling above zeal and it crashes right next to her. A purple haired man seems to show up out of nowhere. "Tch, I need to get my landings straight..."

" Heh, sorry. It would of sucked of I hit you, eh? Well anyways, I go by the name of Kai. Nice to meet you." He seems to bow. " By the way, I'm only half mortal, for all intended purposes." A moment later, a purple lighting bolt erupts from the ground, electrifying Kai, which turns into a purple haired woman. She then proceeds to glare at Kai. " You shouldn't be so causal with strangers you know..." A little girl seems to come from behind her and quickly clings onto Kai for some strange reason. " Ugh, I don't deserve this..."

" Let's say we found her abandoned in the middle of nowhere, now she sort of thinks of me like a big brother...That crazed chick of there is my sister, Koi- Umph!" A moment later, his head hits the ground and he begins to eat dirt and Koi stomps on his back vigorously. " Tch, you never learn, do you? " An evil grin forms on her face. Hana seems to hide behind Kai, " Onii-chan, Onee-chan* is scary..."(Respectively Big bro and sis)

Rin was suddenly knocked skyward by an Emerald No-Dachi. The Yagyu. Then, the sword was impaled into the ground, and Soshi leaped into the air, carrying the Combo on with his Silver Katana. "Attacking the Innocent is not the Way of Bushido." He finsihed, sending her into the Ground with a Knee. He landed, his hair perfect. "Do not EVER let me catch you doing that again."

Aurora was suddenly brushed aside by a Black haired Caucasian man. His Bright White Armour, and Artifact Longsword told her who he was. The Paragon. Ash Lambert, sworn enemy of Victor Belmont, and slayer of Sabina. He had his sword sheathed. He was nothing like the monster Victor made him to be, but Victor had a Bias. This was the truest example that Personal Conflict was EASILY capable of developing even between two Heros.
